FAQ
How far in advance do we need to order a cake?
The ideal answer is as far in advance as possible. I spend a lot of time on each cake to make sure that it is perfect and to do that I need time. I take a limited number of bookings for each time period so book early to avoid disappointment.

For wedding cakes no date is too early. Ideally six months in advance for wedding cakes to ensure adequate consultation period to make sure your cake is perfect.

There may be times when I can accommodate a cake at short notice so please feel free to contact me and I will try to do everything that I can for you.

Do you offer any cake samples?
For wedding cakes I offer a free cake tasting session at the initial consultation for two people. This is to ensure you get the best flavours for your dream cake.

For celebration cakes I am happy to offer a cake tasting session but this will be for a small fee. Please contact me for details.

Can you make different tiers in different flavours?
Absolutely! I want to make your ideal cake that meets all of your needs. Having more flavours means more choice
for your guests!

Do you offer hire of cake stands?
For wedding cakes I would be happy to arrange for hire of a cake stand for your special day but I do require a refundable deposit. Once the cake stand has been safely returned within five days of your wedding the deposit will be returned.

What happens on the day?
I am happy to provide delivery to your venue (within 30 miles of Crowland) for free. Outside of this mileage I am happy to discuss a delivery quote. For wedding cakes I will personally set up the cake in your reception venue to ensure that it is perfect to match your perfect day.

If you would like to collect your cake then I am happy to arrange this for you. However, I cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs once the cake has left my premises. With wedding cakes they can become very heavy therefore delivery is recommended.

We have seen a picture of a cake we like, can you copy it?
Unfortunately I cannot directly copy a cake but I would be happy to discuss the design with you to create something that meets your ideas and is hopefully even better than the picture!

How do I pay for the cake?
When you book a cake I need a non-refundable deposit of 25% to secure the date within 72 hours. The deposit will be dependent on the cost of the cake. I accept BACs transfer, paypal or cash. For wedding cakes the final balance is required 4 weeks before the wedding.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
I always try to meet the dietary requirements of all of my customers. I offer several gluten free options. I also make a fruit cake which can be made vegan, gluten free, dairy free and egg free. Also I can do a cake specifically for diabetics with a special form of butter cream to cover the cake if chosen.

Please be aware for people with nut allergies that even if the cake itself does not contain nuts I do bake in an environment that contains nuts.

If you have any other allergies or dietary needs then please contact me and I will do what I can do help.
